Managing Member: Dr Kholiswa Malindini-Maziyana
Dr. Kholiswa Malindini is an inspiring leader and the dynamic founder of AML Training and Research Solutions. With a PhD in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and a master's degree from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, she uniquely combines academic prowess with practical experience. Her remarkable journey, which began at Walter Sisulu University, has led her to build an impressive body of work in Economics, Econometrics, public finance, financial reporting, and Development Policy.
As a senior lecturer, Dr. Malindini has inspired countless students and professionals in Economics, Public Finance, and Statistical Methods. Her enthusiasm for research encompasses diverse interests, including Development Economics, Macroeconomic Modelling, International Trade and Finance, regional economic integration, and Financial Development, all of which are central to the company’s mission. Dr Malindini has made a significant contribution to municipal capacity building projects, focusing on Municipal Finance and asset and liability management, to improve financial reporting at the municipal level over the past seven years. She develops the curriculum and facilitates the sessions.
Additionally, Dr Malindini successfully contributed to a project commissioned by the Finance and Fiscal Commission (FFC) of South Africa to develop a funding model for municipalities to enhance service delivery. Currently, Dr Malindini is working on an economic research project commissioned by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), focusing on trends in South African macroeconomic variables to inform parliamentary policy decisions.

Business Associate: Dr Nwabisa Malimba
Dr Nwabisa Malimba is a lecturer in the Department of Economics and Economic History at Rhodes University, where she also completed her PhD in Economics. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Walter Sisulu University and a Master's degree from Nelson Mandela University. Her wealth of 15 years teaching experience in Basic and Higher education, combined with research experience acquired from working with the Neil Aggett Labour Studies Unit (NALSU), positions her as a great facilitator and policy influencing researcher.
As a lecturer, Dr Malimba has taught and supervised students in International Trade, Regional Integration, and Macroeconomic studies. Her research work includes two key projects commissioned by the South African National Minimum Wage Commission (NMWC) to examine employment vulnerability in the context of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA). The second one focused on analysing Income Differentials in South Africa to support the National Minimum Wage Commission (NMWC) in fulfilling its mandate under the National Minimum Wage Act 9 of 2018, which includes advising the Minister on strategies to reduce income disparities. Dr Malimba is currently engaged in an international project commissioned by the German Development Agency (GIZ), under the Women in Informal Employment Globalising and Organising (WIEGO), to undertake an analytical study on the informal sector and its implications on taxation in Tanzania. As such, she adds tremendous value to the company, which will ensure the quality of core services delivered.
